Computer Camp for the 21st Century Learner!

Computer Camp is starting up again beginning on January 31st. It will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 – 4:30. Students will have the opportunity to work on literacy and math skills using computers. Each child will have an individual contract based on their personal needs. We are looking forward to implementing some new ideas and using our new remote clickers with students. Computer Camp is free to all students that participate. Please keep a look out for sign-up sheets coming home with your children.

NAEP Testing

NAEP testing is a one time test. It will be held on February 17th at 9:20am. No names are attached to the test. It looks at statewide information for the nation's report card. We will be building it up as a point of pride to fourth graders. It's only 4th grade taking the test.

NWEA Testing

NWEA testing is a district test done three times a year. The results are available within 24 hours for teachers so that instructional decisions can be make. The window for testing is January 24th through February 18th. We are building a schedule now. It really only equates to two one-hour tests on the computer per child. Most children finish in 30 minutes. We will be testing first graders for the first time this year. It is a primary test done with head-phones.
